What we collect, and why

• Contact form and guest book: the name, email address and message you type. Used only to answer you or to publish your entry. Kept for three years after the last contact.
• Orders: the details needed to invoice and deliver. Kept for the period required by accounting and tax law.
• Audience measurement: aggregate counters only — how many visits reach a given step, which country (derived from the browser time zone, never from your IP address), whether the device is a computer, a tablet or a phone, and which language was used. These are counters, not individual journeys: nothing links two steps to the same person.

What stays on your device

Your favourites, your wall photograph and your saved walls stay in your own browser and are never uploaded to the site. The photograph of your wall never leaves your device.

Cookies and local storage

• WordPress and WooCommerce technical cookies, needed for the cart and the session.
• The consent banner records your choice.
• hb_moi: a one-year cookie that marks the artist’s own browser so that his tests are not counted.
• Local storage holds your favourites, your language and your walls.

Third parties

The optional Translate button sends the text of the comment you asked to translate to Google’s language model, acting as our processor; this may involve a transfer outside the European Union. Nothing is sent unless you press the button. Payment is handled by our payment provider, which processes your payment details directly. We never sell or rent your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of your data, and ask for it to be transferred to you. Write to contact@hervebouhnik.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
